SaffasUS.com is an online community and business directory designed to connect South Africans and friends of South Africa living in the United States. The platform allows individuals, businesses, and community organizations to create listings and connect with the wider community.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
• The site is open to anyone.
• To submit a listing or interact with certain features, you may be required to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and ensuring all information you provide is accurate and up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Listings & Content
• Listings may be submitted by business owners, community organizations, nonprofits, clubs, or individuals.
• Listings may be free or paid, depending on the listing type selected.
• Listing owners are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and ownership of all content they submit, including text, images, logos, and links.
• Users must select the listing type that most accurately represents their activity or organization.
We do not verify or endorse any listing and are not responsible for errors, omissions, or misrepresentations.
4. Classified Advertisements, Community Listings & Job Listings
SaffasUS.com offers free classified advertisements for personal, non-commercial use, free Community Listings for clubs, nonprofits, and community organizations, as well as job postings from Saffa-owned businesses.
Classified ads are intended for individuals wishing to sell personal items, share short-term opportunities, or post community-related offerings. Classifieds are not intended for ongoing commercial activity or business promotion.
Community Listings are intended for genuine clubs, nonprofits, networking groups, hobby groups, social groups, and community organizations serving South Africans and friends of South Africa in the United States.
Job listings are intended for genuine employment opportunities offered by Saffa-owned businesses, or current employers of Saffas.
5. Business Activity vs Classified or Community Use
Any user who regularly sells or produces products or services for profit – including resale of goods sourced from thrift stores, online marketplaces, wholesalers, or similar platforms – is considered to be operating a business for the purposes of this platform.
Examples of business activity include, but are not limited to:
• Repeatedly posting similar items for sale.
• Selling sourced or resold inventory.
• Offering services for payment.
• Operating informal or side businesses.
• Promoting online shops or social media sales pages.
• Using Community Listings primarily to advertise commercial products or services.
Such activity must be listed as a Business Listing, not a Classified Ad or Community Listing.
Since SaffasUS.com does not have authorization to charge users without explicit consent, we cannot automatically convert Classified Ads or Community Listings into Business Listings. Users engaging in commercial activity through free listing options may be required to remove their listings and register for a paid Business Listing.
6. Job Listings (Special Exception)
Saffa-owned businesses may post free job listings to advertise genuine employment opportunities to the community.
Job listings must:
• Represent real, currently available positions.
• Be posted using the “Jobs” tag for search and filtering purposes.
• Not be used to promote products, services, or businesses.
• Not include multi-level marketing (MLM), commission-only roles, recruiting schemes, resale opportunities, crypto-related positions, or investment solicitations.
Each job posting must reflect a legitimate open position.
7. Free Listing Guidelines
SaffasUS.com may offer free Classified Ads, Community Listings, and Job Listings subject to these Terms.
Unlimited free listings may be permitted provided they remain genuine, lawful, community-focused, and compliant with these Terms of Use.
SaffasUS.com reserves the right to:
• Modify or limit free listing allowances at any time.
• Restrict posting privileges.
• Remove listings that appear commercial, misleading, abusive, fraudulent, or spam-related.
• Require users engaging in business activity to register for a paid Business Listing.
• Review, reject, suspend, or remove Community Listings that do not align with the purpose of the platform.
Community Listings may be removed if they are inactive, misleading, unrelated to the South African community, or primarily commercial in nature.
8. Enforcement
SaffasUS.com reserves the right to:
• Remove Classified Ads, Community Listings, or Job Listings that violate these Terms.
• Suspend posting privileges.
• Terminate accounts that repeatedly misuse free listing options.
Our goal is to keep SaffasUS.com fair, community-driven, trustworthy, and accessible to genuine users and organizations.
9. Reviews & Feedback
• Users may submit reviews where enabled.
• Only respectful and constructive reviews are permitted.
• We reserve the right to remove or reject negative, harmful, defamatory, or unverifiable reviews.
• SaffasUS.com does not allow reviews intended to harm, shame, or publicly dispute a business or individual.
We believe that negative experiences should be resolved directly with the listing owner, as we cannot independently verify disputes.
10. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds
• Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
• We offer monthly subscriptions, annual subscriptions, and one-time payments.
• All payments are non-refundable, including partial subscription periods.
• Users may cancel subscriptions at any time through their account dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing but does not provide a refund for past payments.
11. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use SaffasUS.com to:
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Upload offensive, abusive, hateful, or discriminatory content.
• Promote illegal services or activities.
• Attempt to harm, disrupt, or exploit the platform or its users.
• Use the site for political, extremist, or unrelated promotional purposes.
We reserve the right to remove any content or listing that violates these rules or does not align with our mission.
12. Moderation & Enforcement
SaffasUS.com reserves the right to:
• Review, edit, reject, or remove listings or content at our discretion.
• Suspend or terminate accounts without notice if Terms are violated.
• Modify or discontinue features or services at any time.
13. Third-Party Interactions

• Are not a party to transactions, agreements, or disputes between users.

15. Limitation of Liability

• Disputes between users or listing owners.
16. Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, and design elements belong to Community Online Directories LLC unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute site content without permission.
